Putting the Pieces Together: Visualize Your Business Model

This workshop will show you how to use the business model canvas to visualize and plan your business. Do you have an idea for a business but aren't sure how the pieces all fit together? Are you working in your business and have a great idea for a new strategic direction but need help turning that into a big picture? This workshop will take you through the lean startup and strategic planning framework Business Model Canvas (from the bestselling book by Alexander Osterwalder). This visual planning tool is deceptively simple, with ten blocks to organize your model which are laid out in a way that showcases how these pieces fit together. Millions have used this simple and powerful tool to design, plan, and identify challenges for new businesses, new products, new projects, or new strategic directions. During this highly-interactive workshop, facilitator Greg Payton, will guide you through the basics of the Business Model Canvas and empower you to use it to plan your next big venture. Greg is a professor of entrepreneurship and innovation at the Rohrer College of Business at Rowan University, an active member of Philadelphia's tech startup community, the Vice President of PNC's Technology & Innovation Diversity & Inclusion team and a retired senior Army officer.
